University Professor Joseph Stiglitz called out President Donald Trump’s economic policies in an interview in The Guardian, "Trump policies make US ‘scary place to invest’ and risk stagflation."

Nobel Laureate Stiglitz is a member of the Center for Political Economy's Advisory Board and a professor at Columbia Business School. In the story, he argued that despite optimism about the U.S. economy at the turn of the year, the uncertainty created by Trump’s on-off tariff plans and the president’s apparent contempt for the rule of law would deter investment.
