Columbia Law Professor Kate Andrias was among several legal experts interviewed by The Guardian for its Feb. 1 story, "Trump’s disregard for US constitution ‘a blitzkrieg on the law’, legal experts say."

Andrias weighed in on Trump's firing of members of the National Labor Relations Board, calling them "unprecedented and illegal." However, she cautioned that the Supreme Court could rule in his favor.

With its “radical anti-administrative law” attitudes, Andrias said, the court “could reject 90 years of legal precedent and agree with the president that he had the authority to fire members of independent bodies.”

Andrias is the Patricia D. and R. Paul Yetter Professor of Law, is a co-director of the Columbia Labor Lab and the Columbia Law School Center for Constitutional Governance and is a member of the Center for Political Economy's advisory board.
