Columbia Law Professor Katharina Pistor is the subject of an interview in La Vie des Idées for the article, "A European code of capital ? An interview with Katharina Pistor."

The article touts that Pistor, whose book "The Code of Capital" was published in 2020, has "renewed the critique of economic inequality by showing how the institutions of private law form the lock of an unequal economic and social system."

Pistor is Edwin B. Parker Professor of Comparative Law at Columbia Law School and a leading scholar and writer on corporate governance, money and finance, property rights, and comparative law and legal institutions. She is also a faculty co-director with the Center for Political Economy.
