December 11, 2023

Center for Political Economy at Columbia World Projects announced that it is seeking applications for grant funding from eligible Columbia University faculty.

The faculty grants are for one year, and are intended to generate new knowledge and networks, facilitate the exchange of discoveries, accelerate the identification of key challenges, and expand the methods scholars use.

This round of grants will support work that aligns with the Center's idea labs, which mobilize intellectual resources around three themes: Firms and Industrial Policy; Work and Labor; and Money and Finance.

The Center is particularly interested in funding early-career faculty and interdisciplinary teams from at least two Columbia schools. Faculty may apply for $10,000 to $60,000 in funding.

Awards will be announced in May and activities launched in the Summer.

Applications are being accepted until Monday, March 18, 2024, at 5 p.m. EST.
